A Player Card for everyone you assess, and a dashboard they’ll want to open

SkillScorer turns the scores your coaches and supervisors enter into a personal card, progress, goals, badges and a journey across the years. People see how they’re doing, what to work on next, and what they’ve achieved, in sports, business, trades, healthcare and every other industry we support.

An example Player Card. Yours shows your people, your skills and your organisation’s name.

Everything a person sees when they log in

A Player Card built from real scores

Every person gets a personal card showing an overall rating, their six strongest skills and their photo, with your organisation’s name and the season. The rating is worked out automatically from the scores their coach or supervisor enters, from 1 to 100.

  • Four tiers, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Elite, as the rating grows
  • Flip it to see every skill scored and a labelled skills radar
  • Open it full screen and tilt it like a collectable
  • Share it as a picture, only if the person chooses to
  • Shows your discipline where a sports card shows a position, so it fits any industry

See improvement at a glance

Four simple tiles answer the questions people actually ask: am I getting better, what improved most, what am I best at, and how many skills are strong. They update every time a new score is entered.

  • Overall change since last season
  • Your most improved skill
  • Your strongest skill
  • How many skills are at 8 or more

Badges to earn, and earn again each year

Nine badges reward real achievements such as raising your overall rating, scoring a 9 or a perfect 10, being scored on every skill, or reaching a goal you set yourself. Most start fresh every season, so every year is a new chance, while First Card and Veteran are milestones you keep for good.

  • Locked badges show what to aim for next
  • A history lists the badges earned in earlier years
  • Judged on each year’s own scores, so a new season is a clean start
  • Once earned, a badge is kept, even if a score is changed later
  • The daily summary notification on the phone app tells people about new badges

Set a target, watch the ring fill

People pick a skill they want to improve and set a target above their current score. A ring fills as the coach’s score moves towards it, and reaching a goal earns the Goal Getter badge. Reached a goal? One tap on Aim higher sets the next one.

  • Up to three goals in progress at once, or any number from one to five that you choose
  • Goals already reached don’t use up the limit
  • Progress is measured from where the person started, so every goal begins empty and ends full

Rate yourself and compare with your coach

People rate themselves from 1 to 10 on every skill, then see how that lines up with their coach’s scores. It shows where they rate themselves higher, and where the coach sees a hidden strength, a conversation starter that makes development feel like a two-way street.

  • Both overall ratings are worked out from the same skills, so they compare like with like
  • Private to the person unless an Administrator lets coaches see it
  • Rate every skill and their own rating joins their chart on My Journey

The story across the years

A simple chart shows the overall rating season by season, with the person’s own rating alongside, and the goals they’ve reached listed underneath. It’s the long view of development that a single score never gives.

  • Overall rating by year, zoomed so real progress is visible
  • Your own rating as a ring beside the coach’s dot
  • Milestones such as “2026: reached 8 in Stamina”

A quick word of encouragement

Coaches and supervisors can send a short, positive message in one tap, chosen from a fixed list of eight. There’s no free text, so it stays kind, quick and safe, and the person sees exactly who it’s from.

  • Up to three a day per person, so each one means something
  • New shout-outs are flagged until the person has seen them
  • The daily summary notification on the phone app mentions new shout-outs
  • Administrators can switch shout-outs off for the whole organisation

See who else is on the team

A wall of the teammates who have chosen to join, showing each person’s photo, first name and last initial, with a tag for their tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold or Elite). It builds team spirit without ever showing anyone’s actual scores.

  • Off until an Administrator turns it on, then each person decides whether to join
  • Photo, first name, last initial and tier colour, never the actual scores
  • Anyone can leave the wall whenever they like

You decide what’s switched on

Every part of the dashboard has a switch. Coaches and managers can open only the people on their own teams, and a person only ever sees their own information.

Player Dashboard questions

What is a SkillScorer Player Card?

A Player Card is a personal card built automatically from the scores a coach, manager or supervisor enters in SkillScorer. It shows an overall rating out of 100, the six strongest skills, a photo, and a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Elite tier. People open it on their phone or computer, flip it to see every skill, and can share it as a picture if they choose to.

Is the Player Dashboard only for sports?

No. It works in every industry SkillScorer supports. The page says “player” because that is the common word, but the app uses your organisation’s own words, such as employee, apprentice, clinician or student, and shows your discipline where a sports card would show a position.

Can people share their Player Card?

Only if they choose to. Sharing the card as a picture is switched off for each person until they turn it on themselves. Nothing is shared automatically, and an Administrator can switch Player Cards off for the whole organisation.

Can coaches see what a person rates themselves?

Only if an Administrator allows it. A self-assessment is private to the person by default. When it is switched on, coaches and managers can see the self-assessments of the people on their own teams, and nobody else’s.

Can we switch parts of the dashboard off?

Yes. Administrators can switch Player Cards, Shout-outs, the Team Wall and the daily summary notification on or off for the organisation, choose the time the notification is sent, choose whether coaches can see self-assessments, and set how many goals a person can have in progress at once, from one to five.

How do people get access to their dashboard?

You invite them by email from the people list. They choose a password and see their own card, progress, goals and badges. They can only ever see their own information, plus the Team Wall if the organisation turns it on and they opt in.

Do people get notifications on their phone?

Yes, if they use the SkillScorer phone app. Each person can receive one notification a day that tells them about new badges and new shout-outs, and nothing is sent when there is nothing new. An Administrator chooses the time it is sent, in the organisation’s own time zone, and it is mid-morning by default so a work app never notifies people after hours. It can also be switched off for the whole organisation.

What are the shout-outs, and can they say anything?

Shout-outs are short, positive messages a coach sends, such as “Great effort!” or “Brilliant improvement!”. They are chosen from a fixed list of eight, so there is no free text, and a coach can send one person at most three a day. The person sees who it is from.
