How Personal Training works in SkillScorer
Score
Each trainer in a studio is scored on the Personal Training skills in the Skills Matrix: tap a cell, type a score, and it saves itself.
Compare
Rank trainers, compare two side by side, or compare your studios against each other to see exactly where the strengths and gaps are.
Track
Scores are kept year after year, so you can see who is improving and which Personal Training skills need attention. Reports also follow each senior trainer's studio.
Personal Training scorecard: common questions
What skills does the Personal Training scorecard include?
SkillScorer's Personal Training scorecard covers 13 skills: Needs Assessment, Program Design, Exercise Technique, Client Motivation, Nutrition Knowledge, Safety & Risk, Communication, Body Composition and Fitness Testing, Progressive Overload Programming, Client Retention, Injury and Pre-Existing Condition Management, Business and Sales Skills and Emergency and First Aid Readiness. Each one comes with a written description of what it measures, and you can edit, rename, remove or add skills to suit your organisation.
How are trainers scored in Personal Training?
Every trainer is scored from 1 to 10 on each skill (1 = Poor, 5 = Average, 10 = Elite), one studio and year at a time. Scores autosave in the Skills Matrix, and the 18 built-in reports turn them into rankings, radar charts, skill gaps and year-on-year trends.
Which levels come with Personal Training?
Personal Training starts with these levels (called “Certification Level” in the app): Student, Certified Trainer, Experienced Trainer, Senior Trainer and Master Trainer. They are just a starting point, so you can rename, reorder or replace them.
Can I change the Personal Training skills and wording?
Yes. The skills, levels and labels are all editable per organisation. In fitness & wellness the app talks about trainers, studios and senior trainers, and you can change any of those words too.
